Invasive honeysuckle vines smother fences, understory, and young trees — and goats genuinely like eating them. Honeysuckle appears on nearly every list of preferred goat browse; herds will strip vines and defoliate thickets before touching plainer forage nearby.
The vine's habit of rooting where runners touch soil means fully clearing an infestation takes persistence: graze, let it push regrowth from the runners, graze again. Two to three passes across a season typically brings a smothered area back to daylight.
