Rent A Goat runs herds in California only — we are not licensed or equipped to haul animals across state lines, so we cannot assess a property at that location.

We generally require a 10-acre minimum
Setting up a herd, fencing, and water for a project makes sense for us above roughly 10 acres — below that, a landscaper, mowing service, or hand crew will usually be faster and cheaper than bringing in goats.
A couple of exceptions worth a call anyway: neighboring properties that can combine to 10+ acres, or dense brush/poison oak on a smaller lot that machines can't safely handle. If either applies, call 1-858-751-GOAT.

What makes a property a good fit
- Roughly 10+ acres (neighbors can combine parcels)
- Grass, brush, weeds, or invasive vegetation
- Trailer access reasonably near the work area
- Water on site is a plus, not a requirement
- Steep or rough terrain is fine — that's our specialty
What makes it a poor fit
- Under our 10-acre minimum (a mower or landscaper wins there)
- Mostly trees, stumps, or dead standing timber
- No way to get animals within reach of the site
